Azmat Number

All our calculations are based upon historic closing prices and any stocks (or other financial instruments) selected by our system should be taken neither as recommendation of any kind whatsoever nor an invitation to trade (or not trade) them.

After detailed technical analysis, each stock is allocated a number between 0 and 100 under various categories and also an overall number, called Azmat Number.

This number is used by the system to select
about 3% of the stocks from each group and currently, for each selected stock, 14 charts are published (over-writing any charts from the previous day).

Please note that the stocks are selected purely on the criteria that we have programmed into our computer system; it should not be assumed that the stock price will behave in any particular manner, just because of certain technical indicators.

We do however publish daily, in the
Group Sheet, the numbers that our system has allocated under several categories, for each selected stock ( Azmat Number >= 80 ) for 5 days.

This data is also published in the
Group Sheet for stocks that do not quite make the selection ( Azmat Number >= 70 ) but may be worth a quick look.  Though these stocks may be giving only 2 or 3 technical indicators, they may still be worth further consideration
, if those indicators are important to you.

In general, stocks with Azmat Number between 80 and 100 are put in category A; stocks with Azmat Number between 70 and 79 are put in category B.  The system then selects the top 10 stocks for charts and the top 20 for the Group Sheet.

Note that on any particular day if there are not enough stocks in category A, some may be selected for charts from category B.  Whereas there may be days when not all category A stocks will be selected for charts, if there are too many.

The stock symbol, the date of Last Closing Price used and the Azmat number are displayed in the top row of every chart and data sheet.

The closer to +100 (bullish) or -100 (bearish) an allocated number is, the more 'interesting' that stock is from a technical analysis point of view, according to our system.  Note that a negative number is not always used for a bearish indicator.

For Golden/Dead Cross or for Signals Crossing, for example, only a positive number between 0 and 100 is allocated to draw your attention.  It should be clear by looking at the charts whether there is a golden or dead cross.

Similarly, by looking at the charts that show signals crossing it will be clear whether it is a bullish or a bearish indicator.

Example
If under the Golden / Dead Cross category our system has allocated the number 60 to stock A, 80 to stock B and 100 to stock C  - it means that although all three stocks are making either a golden or dead cross,  only stocks B and C are worth looking.

Additionally, it means that stock C is definitely worth a quick look, as there may be a trading opportunity that you would not want to miss.

Similarly, when the stock price is making a Bullish or Bearish Divergence with the MACD Histogram, our system is programmed to identify stocks that are definitely worth further consideration.

Where we publish charts for 10 selected stocks, Group Sheet (as described above) is published for up to 20 stocks.   Where we publish charts for 5 selected stocks (as in EURO group), Group Sheet (as described above) is published for up to 10 stocks.

In the case of the Stock Market Indices (NDEX Group), the top 10 are selected for Charts (whatever the Azmat Number) and up to top 30 are selected for Group Sheet.  Currently, data for all 23 indices is published for 5 days.

Please note that the Azmat Number is likely to be much lower for an index than for a stock, as the index represents a large number of stocks which do not necessarily all move in the same direction.
