ChartService  -  Groups

Currently we analyse the following Groups:-

    *  23 World Stock Market Indices

    *  About 157 stocks that are traded via SETS on the London Stock Exchange

    *  About 100 stocks in the NASDAQ-100 Index and about 30 stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index  

    *  About 30 stocks in the DAX-30 Index traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and about 50 stocks in the DJ EuroSTOXX 50 Index traded on many European Stock Exchanges

        DJ Euro STOXX 50 Index, is believed to have stocks from the following stock exchanges:-
        *  About 17 stocks that are traded on the Paris Stock Exchange  
        *  About 12 stocks that are traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
        *  About 8 stocks that are traded on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange  
        *  About 7 stocks that are traded on the Milan Stock Exchange  
        *  About 6 stocks that are traded on the Madrid Stock Exchange


Please note the word "About" preceding each group of stocks; we will endeavour, but do not guarantee, to analyse each and every stock in a particular group daily. 

The main reason for not including a stock in the analysis, on one or more days, is either because the stock price is not available to us or there is some doubt about its accuracy. 

Other reasons include a  change in the name or symbol, or a corporate action etc. (details of which may not be available to us that day).

EURO (about 68 stocks) -  traded on Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan and Madrid Stock Exchanges

DJNT (about 130 stocks) - NASDAQ-100 and Dow Jones Industrial Average DJ-30

NDEX (about 23 indices) World Stock Market Indices - from various countries around the world

Four UK and four US Stock Market Indices plus 15 World Stock Market Indices - from various other countries 


SETS  (about 157 stocks) -  London Stock Exchange
All orders on the SETS electronic order book are anonymous.  Markets Makers may or may not be present; if present, their orders remain anonymous, just like any other participant. 


EURO (about 68 stocks) -  traded on Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan and Madrid Stock Exchanges

Currently these include all the constituents of the DJ EuroSTOXX 50 Index and the DAX-Xetra index.  Note that about 11 stocks are in both of these indices and one that is traded on Frankfurt Stock Exchange but not in DAX-30. 


DJNT (about 130 stocks) - Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJ-30) and NASDAQ-100

Currently these include all the constituents of Dow Jones 30 Industrial Average index and NASDAQ-100 index.  Note that a few stocks may be in both of these indices.

Markets in the Far East
Currently applicable only to the NDEX Group
As we are based in the United Kingdom, due to a time difference of up to 10 hours, we may not always be able to update our site before some stock markets in the Far East open (although we will do our best to do so). 

When we extend our service to cover the constituents of those stock market indices, as opposed to only the indices at present, then we will simply process the far eastern markets separately to ensure that the results of our analysis and charts of the selected stocks are published before those markets open. 


On the London Stock Exchange: 
FTSE-100 Index contains the top 100 stocks by market capitalization
FTSE Mid-250 Index contains 250 stocks below FTSE-100 stocks by market capitalization.  
FTSE-350 Index contains the top 350 stocks by market capitalization 
FTSE All-Share Index is believed to contain all the stocks that are traded on the London Stock Exchange  


Eurotop-300 and Eurotop-100 Indices
Eurotop-100 Index contains the top 100 stocks that are traded on various European stock exchanges
Eurotop-300 Index contains the top 300 stocks that are traded on various European stock exchanges
